BSAC (British Sub Aqua Club) is the largest diving club in the world. Formed in 1953 BSAC has helped teach many interested participants to dive. No longer a British only based system BSAC schools can be found in many countries around the world.

BSAC's entry level course.
This entry level course is divided into 5 "training modules" of knowledge development and practical pool sessions. After these there is an assessment followed by 4 ocean dives. Also included in the course are elementary lifesaving and swimming tests. Once you are ready we take you on to the Ocean Dives section. These dives are completed under the watchful eye of our BSAC Instructor repeating in open water the newly mastered skills that you practiced in the pool and allowing you to develop those skills while enjoying your new sport. 

This course expands on the theory knowledge that you gained in the Ocean diver course and teaches additional skills. There are 5 additional open water dives. Designed to increase your competence and confidence allowing you to undertake dives with a budy of similar experience, should you wish.

This course is designed to develop leadership qualities and accident management skills. Competence in diver safety, diver rescue and first aid procedures is expected. A follow-on to Sports Diver, the Dive Leader Course is the starting level for looking after other divers and leading others around a dive site.
