PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) is the world's largest professional diving association whose members are dedicated to making recreational diving a fun, safe sport. Discover Scuba Diving
An introduction to scuba diving. Short knowledge / water skills session in AquaVenture's pool, followed by a shallow scuba dive in open water. Lets you experience scuba diving without committing to an entire course.
Please note this is not a certification course.

Discover Snorkelling
Enjoyable first level course for those not wishing to scuba dive. Involves a confined water pool session and open water session where you learn skills of snorkelling, which include environment, water entries, and equipment.

All entry level certifications qualify you to dive anywhere in the world.

PADI Scuba Diver
Suitable for those who wish to scuba dive, but have limited time available to complete the full certification Open Water Diver course. Completion of three knowledge sessions and three confined water sessions, followed by open water dives one and two, qualifies you to dive accompanied by a PADI instructor to a maximum depth of 12 metres. (Completion of modules four and five, plus sea dives three and four, qualifies you for the full certification of PADI Open Water Diver).

PADI Open Water Diver
The ideal course for the holidaymaker, enabling you to obtain the first full certification and qualification as a scuba diver. Course consists of theory using audio/visual equipment and an easy to understand textbook, followed by confined water training and a minimum of four open water sea dives. This then provides you with the necessary knowledge and skills for complete confidence in the underwater environment.

In order to dive on Malta you must produce evidence of your dive qualification and complete a standard medical questionnaire indicating that you have no medical problems.   If you do indicate a medical condition then you will be required to consult with a doctor prior to participating unless a doctor’s statement is presented to the dive base stating you are fit to take part in underwater swimming activities including the use of compressed air breathing apparatus. 

Should a sport dive medical be required this is available from an Aquaventure approved doctor at a cost of approx. 15.00 euro.

From PADI Open Water Diver qualification it is possible to progress right up to and including instructor level, but of course you can limit your further qualifications to the time available and the experience level you wish to attain.
